Central to the religious life of the school is the person of Jesus Christ who came among us ‘as one who serves’ (Luke 22.27). Our Catholic school is committed to reaching out to help those in need, through charitable outreach initiatives. All outreach activities connect to the person of Jesus Christ and to the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Drawing on the Catholic Social Teaching of the Church, we have a deep commitment to supporting a range of charitable organisations, families and individuals in need.

Corpus Christi College MaroubraStudents respond to the call of St Marcellin Champagnat by being a presence in the lives of others and thus being active witnesses to the faith.   There are a number of social justice and solidarity programs within the college, with the underlying principle of putting faith into action.  Some of the activities students are involved in are

  • Fundraising for charities such as Caritas Australia and St Vincent de Paul
  • Marist Solidarity programs
  • Monthly student visits to Matthew Talbot Hostel
  • Immersions in Central Australia and Solomon Islands
